(1) How did the name "Kaned" come about?
We chose the name Kane first because its our family name as we are allsisters, but unfortunately a band from Holland released with the name first,so we just added the D on the end and loved it coz it has more attitude now!
(2) What are your names and ages?
You should NEVER ask a woman's age! Haha!
But our names are from eldest to youngest -
Stephanie
Stacey
Cheryl
(3) You've been sisters your entire life. At what point did you decide to
pursue music as a a group? Does anyone have solo career aspirations?
Our father is an entertainer and we've always been onstage performing in
various formations! We're all lucky that we can each take lead vocals and
depending on the style of the song, we just see who's vocal suits the song
best and swap it around! :-) We do actually perform solo songs now and again
within the show, but we enjoy being together as a group as the 3 of us are
so lose and have A LOT of fun, and that's what entertaining's about, if
you're having fun, the crowd join in and its an awesome eeling!

(4) Who are some of your musical influences?
We have so so many, It depends on what mood we're in, but our favourite kind
of music is rock, so anything with a good rock influence on it will win
every time! Especially Def Leppard, Whitesnake and Bon Jovi!
5) Do you write / produce your songs?
In the beginning, not so much, but now we can't stop coming up with ideas!
We do a lot of collaborating, most recently with Morten Helgesen, who
actually co-writes and produces with us!
(6) Who are some of your favorite current music artists?
My Chemical Romance, Fallout Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Hinder, Gwen Stefani,
Pink.. etc. We like to watch exciting performers who actually sing live and
rock at it!! otherwise you may as well just play a CD and look at a poster!

(7) Describe your musical sound.
Well we seem to be getting A LOT of comparisons to an all girl American band
called The Donnas! Who absolutely ROCK, So chuffed with that! Hehe!
(8) What's on Kaned's agenda for 2007?
Gigs, gigs and more gigs, getting ourselves out there and hopefully (fingers
crossed) our first release later this summer! We're busy getting everything
ready to go with a bang! :) So everyone who reads this, BUY OUR SINGLE once
its released!! Hehehe!

(9) What would you like people to take away after listening to your music?
A feeling of fun and enjoyment and hopefully the tunes will stick in your
head and drive you mad! :D Hehe!
(10) How have your ages affected your careers, in terms of creative control
and direction?
Cause we started very young, We were governed a lot on performance times,
etc.. We were too young to sing the sort of lyrics we wanted to sing, as we
never wanted to be a girly girly band, its great now to have the license to
do as we please! :-)
(11) As young artist, do you feel pressure to be role models?
Not at all! We think its up to everyone to make the world a better place,
Who people choose as their role models is personal to their own identities!
But its always flattering to have people make positive comments!
(12) Which artist would you like to work with in the future?
Oh wow! That's like the hardest question EVER, haha!
There are so many rock
idols out there, All the artist's we've said above would be awesome to tour
with though!
